<comment>The media IS making a big deal about this. What else are they goign oto write about? How the cowboys have gone out and played two good games in a row? NO!!! We have to have a soap opera courtesy of the press. These people are scum and this will all get worked out on the field....Roy will have his day mark my words. I said it all offseason about Austin and I said the same about Roy. Hopefully it will come this game because I would love to see the eagles go down in flames this week!</comment>

<comment>Roy Williams: "I'm not a T.O." ........ On Wednesday Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams said he's not on the same page with quarterback Tony Romo. On Thursday Williams went into damage control mode.

Williams insisted when speaking with reporters in the Cowboys' locker room that he won't be the kind of divisive presence that Terrell Owens was in Dallas.

"I'm not a T.O.," Williams said. "I'm not trying to be a T.O. I don't know why people are trying to put me in that category."

Obviously, people are putting Williams in that category because he's doing the same thing this year that Owens did last year: Complaining that Romo is throwing too many passes to other Cowboys players and not enough passes to him.</comment>

<comment>Romo, however, says he and Williams get along just fine.

"He's working hard," Romo said of Williams. "He's doing a good job in practice. It'll come ... We have a good relationship. Roy cares about the game. He's out here practicing hard, he's getting better every time he steps out here, and that's all you can ask."

Romo then turned his attention to the media, telling the reporters in the Cowboys' locker room that they were the ones turning this into a controversy.

"We've been through this before with people trying to intersect and divide our football team, and this team is too strong," Romo said. "I know the media is going to make certain things appear what they may not actually have been, things of that nature. This team is too committed to winning and too committed to improving to let anything like that or anything you guys may present to us divide this team."

Romo can blame the media if he wants to, but all the media reported is what Williams said. If Romo has a problem with those reports, then he has a problem with Williams -- just as he had a problem with T.O. a year ago.</comment>

<comment>Dallas Cowboys' Roy Williams doesn't know what's wrong .... The Tony Romo-to- Roy Williams connection has been more miss than hit this season - and last - and each Wednesday Williams stands by his locker answering the same questions.

Again. And again. And again.

And Williams keeps saying the same thing: he doesn't know why they're not connecting. He didn't and hasn't taken shots at Tony Romo or Jason Garrett like you know who would have done. He hasn't sulked that much but every receiver wants the ball at least some so there is some frustration.

"I'm the No. 1 receiver, but things are just going No. 2s way," Williams said.

Try as some might, Williams hasn't jumped offside, so to speak.

"If you continue to work out every day, it'll pay off," Williams said. "It'll pay off one of these 16 games."

<comment>Roy Williams Still Calls Himself No. 1 Receiver in Dallas ........
After putting in a lot of extra offseason work with Romo, Williams is stunned they haven't made more progress.

"It's just not even close," Williams said. "It's not even funny. Not even close."

"I'm the No. 1 receiver," Williams said. "But things are just going No. 2's way."

While ESPN's Tim MacMahon makes a great point (Miles has more yards, 482, in his first three career starts than Williams has in the 16 games, 447, since joining Dallas), Williams thinks it's something else. For some reason, when Romo looks to Williams, he makes a bad throw.

"He gets the ball thrown correctly his way," Williams said of Austin. "I'm stretching and falling and doing everything. Everybody [else] who's been here's balls are there. Our footballs [from Romo to Williams] are everywhere right now."

<comment> I agree with you Dee about how Roy needs to step up, however the way the team is running their offense its not too predictable as in past years when we had T.O. and Witten the primary guys catching balls. The way this team is set up right now defenses cant key on one particular player and thats where I feel we are more dangerous on offense in past years, from the 3 headed monster attack at running back to the receivers that we possess the Cowboys are causing defensive coordinators confusion in their schemes in stopping us and the sky is the limit with this team.</comment>

<comment>Roy or Romo: Who's At Fault Here? ...... Roy Williams is the Dallas Cowboys' third-highest paid player. And their fourth-leading receiver.

So I ask you, what the hell is going on here?

It may sound like nitpicking on a team that's won three in a row heading into Sunday night's showdown against the Eagles, but to win in Philly and into December the Cowboys will need Williams to produce. Maybe not as a touchdown-making game-breaker (Miles Austin) or as quarterback Tony Romo's security blanky (Jason Witten), but at the very least as a big target with soft hands who can consistently catch the chain-moving 7-yard slant.

Right?

Williams has been thrown to 37 times this season. He's caught only 14 passes. That's the worst ratio (37 percent) of any NFL receiver. Included in that is an abysmal 3 of 15 on third down. Witten, on the other hand, has caught 37 of the 45 thrown his way, highlighted by 8 of 8 on third down.

<comment>Who's a fault here, Roy or Romo?

Because Romo's connecting seamlessly with every other target, I'm laying it on Williams. He's had drops. He's run half #### routes. He just hasn't produced. Granted he's been hurt with bruised ribs, thanks to Romo hanging him out to dry in Denver. And let's be fair, Romo's thrown him some rotten passes and Williams has been a persistent, downfield blocker in the running game.

But last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks I watched Williams jog - not sprint or run, but jog - about 10 yards straight downfield. No jukes. No moves. No urgerncy. No purpose. When the ball went flying well over his head, the boos rained down upon his noggin'.

Even head coach Wade Phillips admits there's a chemistry problem. We got questions. We need answers.

1. Williams is simply overrated.

2. They need more time to get on the same page.

3. Romo doesn't like/trust Williams.

4. Jason Garrett doesn't know how to use Williams.

5. Terrell Owens.
